Each year Mount St. Mary Catholic High School has the honor of participating in the Notre Dame ACE program. Through this program, MSM receives two educators who are receiving their masters degree through the ACE program.

The Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) is housed in the Institute for Educational Initiatives at the University of Notre Dame; its mission is to sustain and strengthen Catholic schools. The Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program is a 25-month graduate program (delivered over three summers and two academic years) for educators seeking to develop skills to become transformational leaders in their Catholic school community. Upon completion of the program, participants earn a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Notre Dame and can be eligible for K-12 administrative license.

During the two academic years in the program, ACE teachers complete a leadership internship at their sponsor school. As part of this internship, participants work with their school supervisor to ensure that they are provided the opportunity to fulfill the requirements of the internship and gain hands on experience in the classroom. During the summer months, participants attend classes on campus at Notre Dame.
