"School is scheduled to be in session tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21.

There will be NO SHUTTLE SERVICE from Norman.

The teachers are meeting at 7:20 in the morning to discuss finals.

Please remain calm regarding final exams. We want everyone to do well on their exams, so we are going to meet and make plans accordingly."

FUN FACT!

We are still adding it up.. but the 82 graduating seniors in the Rocket Class of 2013 have earned over $5 MILLION in scholarships so far! WOW! Also, we have seniors going to colleges all over the country! USC, UC Berkeley, Notre Dame, OU, OSU, and even abroad.. to name a few!

We are very excited to honor our 2013 seniors this evening! The Senior Awards Ceremony will begin at 6:00 in the MSM Auditorium.

The Rocket Sophomore class raised money throughout the 2012-2013 school year for The Heartline Charity. Today May 15, the Sophomore Class presented the check to Lora Loughlin, Blake Loughlin's mother, in honor or Blake.

Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team for placing 7^th at the State Tournament! What a great showing by Mount St. Mary Tennis.

Individual results:

Blake Crawford won 4^th

Christian Trent won 6^th

Matt Beardsley and Cole Cowan won 8^th

Buddy Ryu and Jacob Meyer were eliminated on Saturday morning but put up a good fight throughout the tournament.

The Cross Country informational meeting for all new and returning runners and parents to talk about the program and summer running is Tuesday, May 14^th, 2013 @ 5:30 pm in Room 119!

2:30 for Blake

3:00 for Christian

3:45 for Buddy and Jacob

4:00 for Cole and Matt

Saturday match times will depend on Friday results!

The end of the school year is quickly approaching and with that comes our Rocket Athletics sports banquets.  The scheduled awards nights are listed below:

Saturday, May 11 – 5:00 – Soccer Awards Night – in the Auditorium

Thursday, May 16 – 6:30 – Baseball, Golf, Tennis, and Archery Awards Night – in the Auditorium

The date and time for the Track Awards Night has not yet been determined, but will be scheduled soon! 

Also, on May 16, Balfour will be taking orders for MSM letter jackets for those interested.  They will be located in the book store hallway starting at 6:15.  Letter jackets are available for purchase by those who have lettered in their sport.  

Lastly, on Tuesday, May 14, the MSM Booster Club will be meeting at 6:30 p.m.

We want to update you on how Clayton Kinsey is doing in the OSSAA State Golf Tournament currently....

After the first day of golf Clayton finished the day shooting an 81 & 88. He has 18 holes tomorrow to finish the tournament. He is still in contention and is looking to shoot well tomorrow and move up the leaderboard.

Keep Clayton in your prayers today as he finished his tournament! We will keep you updated!

ROCKET PRIDE!!

The MSM girls tennis team was represented by Meredith Shadid, Rachel Ngo, Jordan Hagood, and Payton Johnson at OSSAA State Tennis!

Meredith and Rachel placed 8th, while Rachel battled through a knee injury to finish the match.

Jordan and Payton lost a close match to Crossings Christian to also finish 8th.

Great job girls! Your Rocket family is proud of you!

The Rocket Track and Field team competed this weekend on Friday and Saturday at the State Track meet in Ardmore.  Fourteen Rocket state qualifiers attended, bringing back 10 medals for their efforts!

ROCKET PRIDE!

Congratulations to senior golf player, Clayton Kinsey on qualifying for the OSSAA STATE golf tournament!

Clayton competed in the 3A Golf Regional Qualifying Tournament in Kingfisher, where he qualified for the Regional Tournament in Purcell on April 29th.

At the Regional tournament Clayton became the first MSM golfer to qualify for a State Tournament! Clayton posted a two round score of 159 by shooting a 78 and 81 for the day. Clayton will be competing in Duncan on May 6 and 7 at STATE! The OSSAA State Tournament is a 54 hole event with 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.

Way to go Clayton!
