September 19, 2012

Jim Cowen called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. in the third floor meeting room at Mount St. Mary’s High School.  

Jim welcomed everyone to the meeting and opened the meeting with prayer.

The Treasurer, Ursala Daly, was going to be late so the Treasurer report was moved to later in the meeting.

Jim turned the meeting over to Coach Keilty, Athletic Director, for his report.

Coach Keilty thanked all the parents for sending their kids to the Mount, for their time and supporting their kids. He reviewed each athletic division and their status. He stated Home Coming for Football was a great success and thanked Ed Lewis for painting the football field. Coach continued by thanking the Booster Club for the lift that the coaches use for football and stated how helpful it is.

He told the group to remember Hoops for Hope on January 18-19, 2013. They will need the Boosters help as the Mount will sponsor the tournament this year and we want to put on a great event.

There was discussion regarding posters for each sport, senior nights for each sport and the MSM network.

Jim then reviewed reports for Concessions and Volunteers which he stated was going well. Sales are good for merchandising as well as ads for the fall sports programs which are out and they are very nice.

Jim reviewed the stats for the MSM network and reported we have $13,000 from advertisement sales so far. There have been over 10,000 page views with an average of 500 views for each football game. The network is doing very well for its first year. The Boosters can help by getting the word out about the network.

Ursala Daly entered the meeting.

Treasurer, Ursala Daly gave her report. She stated we have $6,358.54 in the account as of September 13, 2012. Concessions were doing well but nothing has been reported for apparel sales to date. We had $13,978.24 in income reported for the period of May 8, 2012 to September 13, 2012. During that same period total expenses totaled $18,997.15. There was a motion and a second to accept the Treasurer’s Report as submitted. Motion carried unanimously.

New Business

Jim then explained that we were working on a new online merchandising ordering system with S&S Textile.

Coach Cantrell reported that the gym will be getting another update and they are in the process of getting bids right now. He also reported that the soccer rings from last year’s championship are in and Friday will be a ring blessing ceremony.

There was no further new business.

Jim stated that the next meeting will be held October 17, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the same location.
