| Mount St. Mary High School provides
an intensive, college-preparatory education built
on the Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum. All students
are encouraged to take Pre-AP and AP classes in
math, science, English, social studies, and foreign
language and sit for the AP tests through which
they can earn college credit.
Our AP-trained teachers also teach our non-AP
courses, so even students who do not take AP classes
benefit from our enhanced curriculum.
We use a semester system with courses ranging
in length from one semester to a full year. There
are four 9-week grading periods. Report cards
are issued at the end of each 9-week period. At
the end of the semester, comprehensive exams are
administered in each course.
